Racing. Breeding. Nurturing.

Our Focus.

Manverton supports different and exciting parts of the Equine Industry.

Our Breeding team have invested in a growing number of well bred brood mares, all developed from our racing success. These winners on the Racetrack are producing the next generation of future stars.

We work closely with industry experts in Bloodstock and National Hunt Racing to identify and develop young horses who are nurtured in our dedicated facilities in Wexford. The goal is to apply excellence to achieve the best environment, the most care and the maximum success for our Horses.

What We Do.

  • Breeding

The backbone of the Breeding operation is built around the bloodline of Cheltenham winner, Mrs Milner who was originally bred by Manverton out of Thegirlonthehill, who continues to be a brood mare and is in foal to Walk in the park. The line has produced other winners and most recently Mrs Milner produced a filly foal out of Blue Bresil, the sire of Constitution Hill.

Manverton has a number of other Brood mares in our facilities in Wexford who have produced multiple offspring to to be sold. The breeding stock will be continually expanded based on the teams expert recommendations.

  • Young Horses

Over the last number of years Manverton has invested, with its partners, in a significant number of foals to be nurtured for racing and for sale. These horses include national hunt stock and flat racehorses. This year will see the largest investment to date in young stock.

James Nolan leads this division with the support of Gerry Hogan, a preeminent Bloodstock expert. Manverton is a flat rate farmer and manages the stock in custom facilities in Wexford, one of the most successful locations for producing equine quality in the world.

  • Racing

In our relatively short journey in National Hunt Racing we have achieved some notable victories on the biggest stages. Latest Exhibition’s Grade 1 in Leopardstown, Mrs. Milner at the Cheltenham and Galway Festivals, Sandor Clegane at Punchestown, HMS Seahorse in Fairyhouse and Quamino at the Dublin Racing Festival.

Manverton’s horses are trained by Paul Nolan Racing in Toberona in Wexford. The success provides the platform for the breeding operation and a natural progression for the young horses. The upcoming season will see the strongest team to date wear the purple colours.
